Science Club
The Science & Green Club gives students a fun and hands-on way to explore nature and learn how to care for the environment. Members go on nature walks, record their observations in journals, and take part in exciting projects like bird and butterfly watching. They also upload their sightings on iNaturalist to contribute to real scientific research. Through these activities, students develop a love for nature, learn important science skills, and are encouraged to take action to protect the Earth and support green efforts in school and at home.

Exploring and discovering various bird and butterfly species in our school as part of the Every Singaporean A Naturalist (ESN) programme (Nature Society Singapore; NSS)

Congratulations to our team for their remarkable performance at the 22nd Elementz Science Project Competition! We are proud to announce that they have secured the prestigious Gold Award.

Three of our teams showcased their passion for wildlife and nature during the 40th Singapore Bird Race 2024. We are proud of their efforts and the spirit of curiosity they brought to the event!

Congratulations to our third batch of Novice Naturalists (Birds) who were awarded under the NSS ESN Skills Achievement Programme!

Congratulations to our second batch of Novice Naturalists (Butterflies) who were awarded under the NSS ESN Skills Achievement Programme!

We are honoured to receive the awards for 'Highest Number of Research-grade Observations in 2024' and 'Most Improved Schools from 2023 to 2024' under the NSS ESN programme. These achievements highlight our students’ dedication, growth, and commitment to citizen science research!
Students diving into nature journaling, capturing and documenting various bird species through sketches and observations in our school premise!

Some sketches of the Javan Myna created through nature journaling.

Some sketches of the Eurasian Tree Sparrow.

Some sketches of the Julia Heliconian.

Some sketches of the Painted Jezebel.

(L) Primatologist Dr Andie Ang engaged our students with an insightful
talk on primates, sparking their curiosity about wildlife research and
conservation.
(R) A digitally drawn card presented to Dr Ang in appreciation of her
inspiring talk.

We explored our neighbourhood to learn more about litter and its impact on our environment. With guidance by facilitators from Stridy, we identified common types of litter and discovered how simple actions, like picking up trash, can help protect nature and keep our shared spaces clean.
Well done to our two teams for their enthusiastic participation in the NSS ESN 4th Biodiversity Race 2025!
