Physical Education
Physical Education (PE) is an integral component of Singapore’s school curriculum to develop students' holistic education. Emphasizing on the three learning areas of Physical Activity, Outdoor Education, and Physical Health and Safety (PHS), PE seeks to develop the whole child to bring about a nation of physically competent and confident individuals who enjoy a lifetime of active and healthy living safely and responsibly.
The learning experiences of Physical Education at the Primary level are organised according to the three learning areas and content areas/ strands.

KEY PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
P5 OUTDOOR ADVENTURE CAMP (OAC) |
To consolidate and make meaning of their learning, P5 students participated in a 3-Day 2-Night Outdoor Adventure Camp (OAC). Through the experience, students learnt to spend time to connect with their immediate environment and gain greater awareness and appreciation of their surroundings. Students were presented with opportunities to develop their problem-solving and decision-making skills, both individually and in groups. |

P3 SWIMSAFER 2.0 PROGRAMME |
Swimming is an important life skill which will be imparted to the P3 students through the SwimSafer 2.0 Programme. Swimming develops students’ confidence and focus to manage and manoeuvre their bodies with control while experiencing the sensation of water balance, buoyancy and moving in the water. Conducted within a term, all the swimming lessons will be facilitated by certified coaches during the respective PE periods at an external venue. |

SPORTS EDUCATION PROGRAMME (SEP) |
Sports Education Programme (SEP) is a collaborative partnership between Sport Singapore (SportSG) and Sembawang Primary School. SEP advocates the importance of sports education, encouraging sports participation and opportunities beyond schools. It provides another dimension of opportunities for students to pursue an active, healthy lifestyle beyond the sports and games taught in school. |

TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (TDP) |
Talent Development Programme (TDP) provides an intuitive platform that promotes analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving. Customized and differentiate activities are offered to develop individuals who are community change agents. TDP encourages participants to be actively engaged and intrinsically motivated; nurturing a sense of empathy and commitment as they continue to independently take strides forward in their learning. |

ACTIVE YOUTH PROGRAMME (AYP) |
Active Youth Programme (AYP) aims to objectively establish a culture that promotes active healthy living. With the aid of an infographics Booklet, AYP seeks to empower students to continuously participate in various physical activities. Students will be engaged through regular workout sessions such as Friday Morning Runs or HPB curated physical activities such as Piloxing and Dodgeball. |
